Prices and Transparency

At Menorcarent.com, transparency is our priority. Through our online booking system, you will always be able to see the exact amount payable upon arrival, with no hidden charges.

To obtain an accurate quote, please enter the most precise times possible in our online price calculator. The price displayed upon completion of the booking will be the applicable price, with no hidden charges, except where there is a manifest technical or typographical error as specified in these terms and conditions.

What Is Included in Our Rate?

✅ VAT included.
✅ Unlimited mileage.
✅ Additional driver free of charge.
✅ Collision damage insurance with no excess for vehicles with up to 5 seats.
✅ Collision damage insurance with a €300 excess for:

• Vehicles with 7 or 9 seats.
• Automatic SUVs.

✅ Theft insurance (valid only if the customer retains the vehicle key).
✅ Free cancellation (up to 72 hours before collection).
✅ No additional fuel charges (the vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when it was provided).
✅ Flexible payment options: we accept cash and credit or debit cards.
✅ A credit card is not required to rent a vehicle from us.
✅ 24-hour roadside assistance.

What Is Not Included in Our Rates?

❌ Damage caused by negligence, reckless driving or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
❌ Damage to or deterioration of the upholstery and interior, including cigarette burns.
❌ Loss of or damage to accessories, including:

• The jack, warning triangles, reflective vests, booster seats or child seats.

❌ Engine damage caused by negligence, including impacts to the sills, underside or oil sump.
❌ Damage that has not been reported (it may be considered negligence).
❌ Theft of the vehicle if the customer does not retain the key.

Full Insurance for Greater Peace of Mind

For only €4.50 per day, our Full Insurance covers:

✅ Refuelling with the incorrect type of fuel.
✅ Damage to keys and locks.
✅ Loss of or damage to the aerial and windscreen wipers.
✅ Damage to tyres and wheel rims.
✅ Damage to windows and windscreens.
✅ Dents or scratches to the sills, bodywork and paintwork.
✅ Wing mirrors and headlights.
✅ Loss of or damage to keys and remote controls.

⚠️ Important: having Full Insurance does not remove the obligation to report any damage that occurs during the rental. Unreported damage may be considered negligence and may result in the corresponding costs being charged.

Important Rental Conditions

🚫 Climbing or standing on the roof of the vehicle is strictly prohibited. Any resulting damage will be considered negligence, and the renter will be responsible for the repair costs.

⚠️ Traffic and parking fines:

• Any traffic or parking fine will be the responsibility of the renter.
• Menorcarent charges a €15 administration fee for processing fines.

🚗 Rental requirements:

• Minimum age: 24 years with no additional charge.
• The driving licence must have been held for at least 2 years.
• Younger drivers are accepted subject to an additional charge.

🔄 Early-return policy:

• No refunds will be provided if the vehicle is returned before the scheduled date.

🚘 Vehicle replacement:

• In the event of an accident for which the renter is responsible, the company reserves the right to replace the vehicle with another model at its discretion.

⛔ Restrictions on use:

• The vehicle may only be used in Menorca.
• The vehicle may not be taken off the island or transported between islands.

⚠️ Technical or typographical errors:

If, before the service is provided, a manifest and objectively identifiable technical, computer, typographical or calculation error is detected that affects the price or any essential element of the booking, Menorcarent will inform the customer as soon as possible, explain the issue and provide the correct price.

The customer may expressly accept the correction or cancel the booking without penalty. If the customer does not accept the correction, Menorcarent may cancel the booking and will refund in full any amount already paid.

This provision will not apply to ordinary commercial price changes or to errors that are not manifest. It is without prejudice to the rights granted to consumers under applicable legislation.

Vehicle Collection Instructions

📍 Menorca Airport:

• Upon arrival, you will find a Menorcarent representative in the arrivals hall, identifiable by a company badge or sign.
• The vehicle will be parked directly in front of the arrivals terminal, ready for quick collection without unnecessary waiting.

📍 Port of Mahón and other locations:

• We follow the same procedure to ensure that vehicle collection is convenient and efficient.
